HelioCampus Assessment (HCA) Guides

HelioCampus Assessment (HCA) is the tool CGC uses for program-level curriculum mapping and assessment. Faculty map course outcomes to program outcomes in HCA so that assessment data collected at the course level can “roll up” to inform program assessment.

The video, Assignment Linking in Canvas to HelioCampus Assessment, should be watched after the following steps, detailed in the guide above, are completed: 

  1. Enable HelioCampus Assessment App in each Canvas course being assessed. 
  2. Navigate to the Course Section Assignment View (default landing for most courses, view the guide for other scenarios). 
  3. Publish the assignments being used as measures of assessment in Canvas. 
  4. Know which Course Competency and Program Learning Outcome you are assessing by consulting your Discipline Assessment Activity Report
