    The learning management system (LMS) that Maricopa County Community College District adopted is Canvas by Instructure. Canvas by Instructure is a native cloud software that allows seamless integration with many helpful instructional design tools.

    Turnitin

    Turnitin is the leading provider of plagiarism detection and prevention software. At Maricopa Community Colleges, Turnitin is integrated directly within the Learning Management System Canvas to support faculty and students in the quest to create properly cited original work.

    Technology offers the opportunity for learning to become more collaborative and extend beyond the classroom. When carefully designed and thoughtfully applied, technology can accelerate, amplify, and expand the impact of effective teaching practices. Educators no longer discuss IF technology should be used but HOW it can improve learning. Technology increasingly is being used to personalize learning and give students more choice over what and how they learn and at what pace, preparing them to organize and direct their own learning for the rest of their lives.

    The CTLA strives to provide continuous, just-in-time support for educators endeavoring to rethink when, where and how students complete different components of a learning experience.

    College faculty and staff are expected to adhere to information security guidelines regarding the handling and security of sensitive information. As a MCCCD employee, you are required to complete the annual Data Security and Privacy course via the Employee Learn Center.
